The Ministry of Commerce of China (MOC) initiates dumping investigation on imported toluene diisocyanate (TDI) from EU, effective March 23, 2012. The period of dumping investigation is set from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011 while that of injury investigation is from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2011.
On February 3, 2012 MOC received a report by Cangzhou Dahua Co Ltd, Gansu Yinguang Juyin Chemicals Co Ltd, Gansu Yinda Chemical Co Ltd and NORINCO Liaoning Beifang Jinhua Polyurethane Co Ltd etc. These domestic leading TDI producers proposed to conduct the dumping investigation on imported TDI from the EU.
China imported 71 523 tons of TDI in 2011 and 114 543 tons in 2010. The EU region took up approximately 36% of the two-year import amount.
