Shanxi Xing Wang Group Co., Ltd signed a contract with Xianyang government to construct a large coal chemical project at Xianyang, Shaanxi province. The company will invest RMB44.6 billion in total to construct 3.6 million coal to methanol project, 10 million t/a coal tar project, 1.4 million t/a olefin project etc. The first phase will include a 680 000 t/a methanol to olefin project that uses domestically developed second generat ion DMTO technology, with an investment of RMB11.8 billion. Polypropylene and polyethylene will be the final products.
