On April 10, China Wanda Group, China's leading t i re and cable producer with headquarter in Dongying of Shandong province, signed an agreement with Sinopec Corp. to construct a 260 000 t/a acrylonitrile projectat Dongying Por  Economic Development Zone, with a total investment of RMB3.9 billion.
On February 28 this year, Wanda Group started to construct a 150 000 t/a 1,3-butadiene project at Kenli county of Shandong province with a planned investment of RMB1 billion. The project wi l l use the oxidat ion and dehydrogenation process to make butadiene from butylene. Startup is scheduled for May 2013. That is the second butylene to butadiene project in China. The first is being constructed by Zibo Qixiang Tengda Co., Ltd. at Zibo of Shandong province.
Wanda Group has put on stream a 30 000 t/a polybutadiene rubber plant in December 2011.
